- Dona Bonnet has been recognized by the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce.
August is “Admit You’re Happy Month” so we should see a lot of smiles going around! While most people walk around with an upbeat spirit of general happiness, others seem to thrive on being unhappy, as if it’s a lifelong career. Happiness is a choice; it’s an inside job. Other people cannot make us happy, we have to make a conscious decision to be happy within ourselves. Have you ever noticed that if someone greets you with a smile, it’s just natural to smile back? Let’s all make an effort to exhibit our smiles and show our happiness this month!
August is also Water Quality Month. We are so blessed to live in an area with good tap water. There are many places where water quality is an issue. I had the opportunity to tour one of the water treatment facilities in the area last year with Leadership St. Clair County and it made me very proud to see first-hand what goes into making our water safe to drink.
