Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Clem, 84, of Pell City, were held Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jacky Connell, Reverend Bill Ayres and Reverend Doug Ford officiating.

Interment was in Hardin’s Chapel Cemetery in Ragland.

Mrs. Clem passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Attalla Health Care after an extended illness.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Clem; son, Wallace Usrey; brothers, Marshall Talley, Howell Talley, Renard Talley, Lewis Talley, Roy Talley; sisters, Nettie Trammell, Lucille Bishop.

Mrs. Clem is survived by her daughters, Ruth Dement, Charlotte Carr, Joyce (Sam) Yancey, Teresa (Scott) Bradshaw, Patricia Usrey, Teresa Belcher, Rhonda Rogers, Belinda Jowers, Robin Pike; sons, Harold (Helen) Usrey, Glenn “Frog” (Sabrina) Usrey, Ryan Clem, David (Earnestine) Clem, Gene Clem, Steve Clem; 30 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gaynell Jackson, Bertha Newton, Betty Sue Bigelow; brother, Carl (Yvonne) Talley; numerous nieces and nephews; a host of friends.

Pallbearers were grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers were the Liberty Sunday School Class of Eden Westside Baptist Church.

Mrs. Clem was born in St. Clair County on Monday, August 20, 1923 to the late Edward L. And Bessie Easterwood Talley. She was a member of Eden Westside Baptist Church where she was a member of the Liberty Sunday School Class. Mrs. Clem was an avid cook, gardener and seamstress and will be remembered for her delicious coconut cake.

Flowers will be accepted or mrmorial donations may be made to the building fund at Eden Westside Baptist Church, 223 Wolf Creek Road North, Pell City, Alabama 35125.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Reverend Bill Ayres, the staff of Attalla Health Care and Rehab, Dr. Harold Settles, Dr. Mark Lusco, the staff of Southern Care Hospice and to Usrey Funeral Home for their loving care and support.

Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City directed the services.
