Emma Jean O’Donnell Kay

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Jean O’Donnell Kay, 83, of Ragland, will be Thursday (Today), December 13, 2007 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Kilgroe Chapel in Pell City with Reverend Doug Ford and Reverend Curtis Fuller officiating.

Interment will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Kay passed away Sunday, December 9, 2007 after a long illness.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Luther Kay; four brothers, Raymond O’Donnell, Chester O’Donnell, Herbert O’Donnell, Oliver O’Donnell; one grandson; one great-granddaughter.

She is survived by four daughters, Bertha Faye (Billy Earl) Higginbotham, Brenda (Larry) Morgan, Bonnie Jean (Mike) Tweedy, Karen (Danny) Jackson; son, Donald (Vangie) Kay; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Josephine Kay, Martell Muir, Odessia Cox.

Mrs. Kay was a lifelong resident of St. Clair County. She was a member of Ragland Freewill Baptist Church. She was known for her pie making and quilting.

Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the services.
