Milder temps moved in this week and gave us a little taste of Spring. Panic has gripped me because I realize that I haven’t shed the first pound that I promised myself I would lose and I am a shade of pasty white that’s new for even me. I now have about two months to lose twenty pounds before my trip to Tampa. I had high hopes of being a toned, tanned goddess when I leave, but those hopes are withering like the orchid I forgot in the window. Well, at least I have my personality.   

Let’s get to the news…  

SCCHS Wrestling team will be competing this week at AHSAA sectionals tournament. The Saints have 12 wrestlers who will be competing. For those who make the top 8 in our 1-5A South division, they will earn a spot to compete at the state level. 

This week’s tournament is at the Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery. Entry is $8.00 a day and they will wrestle all Friday and Saturday.

OYAA will hold evaluations for baseball this week at Browning Baseball Academy in Springville.

Branchville Animal Hospital is expanding! The staff is excited about the addition of three new exam rooms, more office space for doctors (they are now a staff of six physicians), a dedicated horse trailer parking, and enlarging the parking lot. The reception are will also have a new look and more storage. All work is scheduled to be completed by May.
