Salon 2113: cutting more than ribbons

The owners of Salon 2113 on Cogswell Avenue are used to holding scissors, but not usually the size of the ones for the Pell City Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Nov. 30 at their location at 2113 Cogswell Ave. with the Pell City Chamber of Commerce.

Co-owners Lauren Isbell, Tara Partridge, Rebekah Riddle and Stacey Newton knew each other and decided to partner together to open their own salon.

“We saw a good opportunity to merge,” said Lauren Isbell.

The salon offers tanning Monday through Friday 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. and hair styling by appointment. Walk-ins are welcome.

They are currently seeking a licensed nail tech to expand their services.

The stylists also participate in Styles Make Smiles, offering hair styling, wigs, hats, scarves, make-up and nails to cancer patients and survivors. Participants will receive refreshments and gift bags but must make an appointment. The Styles Make Smiles program will begin on Feb. 15.

“It is just amazing to see how these women transform,” said Isbell. “They come in looking defeated sometimes and they leave glowing.”

For more information about this program or to book an appointment, contact Salon 2113 at 205-525-4483.
