Springville man arrested for marijuana possession

A Springville man has been charged with marijuana possession after St. Clair County deputies discovered plants inside his home Thursday.

Felix A. Roebuck Jr. was charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and held on a $2,500 bond. He bonded out and faces a Dec. 6 court date on the charge, according to information released by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were making a court-ordered pick up or Roebuck at 16843 U.S. 11 in Springville when they discovered a medium-sized tent inside the home with 11 marijuana plants, each in 1.5-gallon jugs. Deputies also reported finding lights used for growing plants, a humidity meter, an electric timer, fertilizers, smoking pipes and other paraphernalia.

The street value of the marijuana is about $27,500, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
