Charles Gary Hunt III, 20, of Pell City is dead following an early morning car accident on May 2 that occurred near the intersection of 8th Court and Cogswell Avenue.

Hunt was traveling eastbound on Cogswell Avenue when his vehicle exited the roadway, impacted a tree and flipped.

Hunt’s vehicle was found overturned around 7 a.m. and appeared to have been carrying a 4-wheeler on a trailer according to Pell City Police Chief Paul Irwin.

Hunt graduated from Emergency Management Training in 2019 according to a Facebook Post by Rosa Fire and Rescue and was preparing to become an EMT.

Hunt was a long time resident of Pell City.
