Funeral services for Mr. Charles Earl Baccus, Sr., 67, of Springville, were held Saturday, March 29, 2008, at New Haven Baptist Church in Ashville.

Interment was in St. Clair Springs Baptist Cemetery in Springville.

Mr. Baccus passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester Baccus and Annie Belle Baccus; brother, Robert Baccus.

Mr. Baccus is survived by his wife of 50 years, Florence Baccus; daughters, Linda (David) Franklin, Sheila (Donald) Dunnaway, Teresa Baccus; sons, Thomas “Frank” (Teresa) Baccus, Robert “B. J.” (Brenda) Baccus, Charles “Chuck” (Anita) Baccus, Jr.; sisters, Roberta Tuggle, Betty Sanders, Lenora Narmour, Joyce Robins; brothers, Wallace Baccus, James “Jim” Baccus, Joe Baccus, Jack Baccus; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Baccus served two tours in Vietnam and served a total of 12 years in the U. S. Air Force. He loved being a truck driver.

Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds directed the services.
