Pell City bringing food, music and family fun to the 2016 Blues and BBQ Bash

Greater Pell City Chamber of Commerce announces the 2016 Logan Martin Blues and BBQ Bash at Lakeside Park this summer

The City of Pell City and the Greater Pell City Area Chamber of Commerce will host the second annual Logan Martin Blues & BBQ Bash. The all-day event will take place along the serene waters of Logan Martin Lake at Pell City’s Lakeside Park on September 3.

“Community leaders have been meeting for months to put this event together, and we’re so excited to announce the 2016 Logan Martin Blues & BBQ Bash,” said Lisa Gaither, Executive Director of the Greater Pell City Chamber of Commerce. “We absolutely believe this event will offer something for every member of the family and become a long-lasting source of pride for Pell City citizens.”

Highlights of this year’s event will include performances by sought-after blues musicians from the Birmingham-metro and Pell City areas including Gypsy Cab Co., the Elijah Butler Band, Thomas Trussell, and Diadre the Alabama Blues Queen and Ruff Pro Band. Accompanying the smooth sounds, other attractions will include a barbecue cook-off that pits St. Clair County’s seasoned grillmasters against each other for annual bragging rights, a corn hole tournament, vintage car show, dozens of food and retail vendors, beverage offerings, arts exhibits, kid-friendly attractions and much more to be announced as the event date nears.

Organizers expect this free event will bring thousands of people from across the region through the gates at Lakeside Park. Don’t miss your opportunity to show your support for the Bash and claim a coveted spot as a sponsor. Space is limited, so act now. Contact the Greater Pell City Chamber of Commerce for more.
