Rogers welcomes constituents to “Mornings with Mike”

(WASHINGTON, DC)—Congressman Mike Rogers reminded folks that he is holding weekly events when Congress is in session that are open to any constituents visiting Washington, D.C.  “Mornings with Mike” events take place in Rogers’ Washington office in the Rayburn House Office Building.

The meetings offer East Alabamians a unique chance to meet with Congressman Rogers while enjoying coffee and donuts in his office. Recently, the Birgenheier family of Springville visited with Rep. Rogers at his “Mornings with Mike” event before their tour of the U.S. Capitol.

“With summer upon us, DC can be a very busy and crowded place.  I want to remind anyone visiting the area to stop by for a visit. I have always had my offices open to everyone across the Third Congressional District, but these weekly events give folks the chance to come in and share their concerns and visit with my staff and me.  I hope people will take advantage of them when in our nation’s capital,” Rogers said.

The event is hosted each session week on Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. EDT in 2184 Rayburn.  Anyone interested in attending should sign up on Mike’s website to ensure enough coffee and donuts are ordered each week.  The dates for upcoming meetings are July 11, 18 and 25.
