Sunday, March 6 to Sunday, March 13 is the Week of Prayer and the kick-off for the annual Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for Souther Baptist North American Missions. The 2022 theme is “united.” The scripture emphasis on Romans 15:5-6. This is a church-wide observance. Prayer guides, which feature some of the North American missionaries and the eight days an offering envelopes are place in the pew racks for attendees of the morning worship service in Baptist churches.

Sometime prior to these weeks of prayer, individual Baptist churches set a goal for the special missions offering. That always causes excitement in reaching or exceeding a certain goal!

Woman’s Missionary Union leaders in the churches give the introduction to the week of prayer during the morning worship service. Also, they challenge attendees to unite in prayer for our missionaries daily and to give generously to the offering.

Congratulations and happy anniversary to my friends, Stace and “Jeff” Hawkins, who will celebrate their tenth on March 17, St. Patrick’s Day!
