The economy is on the rise as The Outlet Shops of Grand River welcomed its second new retailer within a matter of weeks.

Charming Charlie celebrated its ribbon cutting as its latest store opened June 5.

“Our store appeals to everyone,” said Charming Charlie’s Regional Manager Beth Durnell. “The store is color categorized. We can coordinate literally anything.”

Priced to keep its customers on budget Durnell says Charming Charlie’s value is incredible and very fair.

“I think people appreciate value based pricing.”

Appealing to a broad range, Durnell adds, “Regardless of your taste we’re going to have it. We’ll fit any occasion from the beach to the raceway we’re your one stop shop.”

Store manager Christy Haywood is looking forward to accomplishing great things with Charming Charlie.

“This is a great location! It’s a growing city and we’re hoping to bring a lot of new people in,” said Haywood. “We’re very excited.”

Leeds Mayor Eric Patterson, councilwoman Charlotte Earnest, Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Sandra McGuire, District 45 State Representative Dickie Drake and other community supporters attended the ribbon cutting ceremony championing the areas latest economic development.

“On behalf of the City of Leeds we welcome you here,” said Patterson. “We’re proud of The Shops of Grand River and proud to have y’all here.”
