RE/MAX Balloon to Appear in Pell City

The RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon is scheduled to appear at Coosa Valley Elementary School, on Wednesday at 8:00 AM and again over Lake Logan Martin on May 26 around sunset (weather permitting). The event was organized by RE/MAX Hometown Properties to demonstrate how Hot Air Balloons operate and a history lesson about flight.

At 70 feet tall, the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon grabs attention wherever it flies. The balloon will fly over Lake Logan Martin the evening of Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 2014 (weather permitting). In addition, the balloon will be participating in the prestigious Decatur Balloon Festival in Decatur, Alabama the same weekend.

Sharon Thomas, Broker and Owner of RE/MAX  Hometown Properties said “We’re honored to bring the balloon to our local school for a unique experience.  We believe it is important to be a part of the learning experience.  We are contemplating a new mentoring and internship program this Summer for upcoming Senior High Students”.  Thomas further said “We challenge all Pell City businesses to get involved with the School System and help create mentoring opportunities to grow Pell City’s Youth as they are our business leaders of tomorrow” Michael Barber, Superintendent of Pell City Schools commented “The Pell City School System is so fortunate to have committed partners such as ReMax Hometown Properties to reach new heights”.

As the largest hot air balloon fleet in the world, more than 108 RE/MAX balloons carry the distinctive red, white and blue logo in 26 countries on six continents. RE/MAX, LLC adopted the iconic logo as a promotional symbol in 1978 at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta.

Since its inception, RE/MAX Associates, offices and regions have sponsored and participated in hundreds of balloon events around the world including the RE/MAX Cup National Gas Balloon Race and the U.S. qualifier for the International Gordon Bennett Cup.
