Pell City’s Boys and Girls Club names new director
Elliot Jacobik was recently named director of the Boys and Girls Club of Pell City. Jacobik, a Pell City native, is completing his degree in Recreational Leadership at Jacksonville State University. Jacobik’s experience includes working four years with school-aged children in the summer program at Brentwood Childcare.
He recently worked with Pell City Park and Recreation as an assistant to the athletic director. Elliot said has plans to improve the programs at Boys and Girls Club of Pell City.
“I want a sense of excitement about attending our club,” Jacobik said. “We will create a positive atmosphere where children can have fun, be creative and learn skills that help them as they grow into adulthood.”
Enrollment opportunities for the summer program are still available. Eligibility for enrollment at the Boys and Girls Club of Pell City include children ages 7 to 12 and 6-year-olds who have an older sibling enrolled.
The Boys and Girls Club of Central Alabama’s mission is to provide facilities, programs and leadership to enable all youth to develop and achieve their maximum potential in accordance Judeo-Christian principles.
