Back to School Bash in Leeds

Teen Vogue, fall fashions and The Outlet Shops of Grand River mean one thing—the Back-to-School Saturday Bash!
Teaming up with top teen publication Teen Vogue, the shops featured a fashion show full of fun looks for young ladies to transform the hallways into their personal runway.
Outfitted by Gap, Gymboree, The Children’s Place, OshKosh B’Gosh, Aeropostale and VF Outlet, these gals were ready to take on the first day of school.
Using Fashion Camp students as the models, these youngsters were given the chance to overcome their fears by receiving the ultimate confidence booster—conquering the runway.
Wardrobe stylist, fashion consultant and Fashion Camp director Tracy James Robinson emceed the show while DJs from Jamm Entertainment spun the beats.
“It’s a great day for back to school shopping,” said Robinson.
Showing off the latest looks models Anissa, Kates, Morgan, Elizabeth, Amera, Krissley, Maddy, Cameron and Maggie blazed up the catwalk with their hot looks.
“Hats are very big for fall,” Robinson said. “Layered pieces are really great too. You can just throw a sweater in your backpack and take it to school.”
Robinson told the crowd its ok if jeans are a little too big because rolling up jeans is just fine for any fashionista.
Bright colors  and color blocking are in this fall. And Robinson reminds the girls don’t forget to accessorize.
“If you don’t have a pair of metallic flats, they’re a must-have buy,” said Robinson.
A fashion show attendee was excited to see the Fashion Campers modeling. She was overheard saying, “This is so much better than bringing in professional models. It’s all about the experience.”
Instilling these young minds with their best accessory—self-confidence, Robinson ended the show by saying, “They did some good modeling. They learned a lot but also had a lot of fun.”
The Back-to-School Saturday Bash continues this Saturday, August 18. Don’t miss the fashions and fun. For more information visit www.shopsofgrandriver.com.
