TROPICAL SYSTEM ISAAC WILL BRING THE POTENTIAL FOR WEAK ISOLATED
TORNADOES TO AREAS GENERALLY NEAR AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM EUFAULA TO
DEMOPOLIS. THE MOST LIKELY TIME OF OCCURRENCE WOULD BE NOON UNTIL
9 PM.
WIND GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE TODAY FOR THE FAR
SOUTHWESTERN PORTION OF CENTRAL ALABAMA. WIND GUSTS COULD BE HIGHER
ANYWHERE IN CENTRAL ALABAMA IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE STRONGER RAIN
BANDS ROTATING AROUND ISAAC.
ISOLATED WEAK TORNADOES WILL BE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY
GENERALLY WEST OF INTERSTATE 65 IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE OUTER
RAIN BANDS FROM TROPICAL SYSTEM ISAAC.
GIVEN THE CURRENT FORECAST TRACK…HEAVY RAINFALL SHOULD BEGIN
WEDNESDAY MORNING ACROSS THE FAR SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF CENTRAL
ALABAMA. THROUGH THURSDAY…RAINFALL OF 2 TO 4 INCHES WILL BE
POSSIBLE WEST OF A LINE FROM TROY TO CLANTON TO DETROIT…WITH 1 TO
2 INCHES POSSIBLE ELSEWHERE. DEPENDING ON THE EXACT RAINFALL AMOUNTS
AND LOCATION OF THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL…SOME LOCALIZED FLASH
FLOODING MAY BE POSSIBLE BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON INTO THURSDAY.
AS ISAAC MOVES INLAND…WIND GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE
