The Pell City Police Department responded to a shooting call Friday July 8, at approximately 7:45 pm, at the Lakeside Landing campground on Martin Street South in Pell City. 

Zachary Scott Tribble, 35, of Athens, was discovered suffering from gunshot wounds.  Scott was pronounced dead on the scene.  Jackie Owen Jordan, 63, of Odenville, was taken into custody at the scene.  Jordan has been charged with murder and is currently being held without bond at the St. Clair County Jail in Pell City.

Pell City Police Chief Greg Turley said, “The shooting stems from a disagreement between the two individuals.  We want our residents to know that this is not a random crime and that Lakeside Landing, like all of Pell City, is a safe area and the investigation is ongoing.”
