Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer will be held Monday, Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. at the St. Clair Baptist Association office building in Ashville. Social distancing will be observed. Women of all denominations are welcome.

Mrs. Barbara Miller, the St. Clair Baptist WMU prayer coordinator, will present the program.

Belated happy birthday to my daughter Ramona Joy Scott-Kemp and my friend Billie Ruth Windsor, who both celebrated Oct. 19, my friend Margie Castleberry, Oct. 15, my friend Ann Sweat, Oct. 16, and my young friend and neighbor, Hanna Ferguson, who will celebrate Oct. 30.

Congratulations and happy anniversary to John and Ann Sweat, who celebrated their 59th on Oct. 20. Happy anniversary to Jeremy and Sarah Walker, who will celebrate Oct. 31. I wish all you children who will be going Trick or Treating or to Fall Festivals held at area churches will have a happy and safe holiday.
