After graduation:  He has accepted a golf scholarship to Faulkner University in Montgomery, where he plans to begin pre-med studies.  “I’ve always wanted to know about medicine and help people who are sick.”

What he’s most looking forward to about attending college:  “Meeting new people.”

The biggest challenge related to starting college:  “More responsibility and being on your own.”

Why he enjoys golf:  “It’s an honest game.  Only you can call penalties on yourself.”

Accomplishments on the links:  Mitchell won this year’s county golf tournament with a low score of 73.  His personal best score is 69, which he shot while playing with friends at the Trussville Country Club before the past varsity season started.
