All About Ashville

Kudos for the second week in a row to Ashville High School Cross Country Team. Again, the boys took second place. Joe Stevens placed second. Ryan Matthews placed seventh. Ryan Pantoji came in at fifteenth. Taylor Knight lead the Lady Dawgs taking second. Molly Mortham placed sixteenth.

The high school football team fell to the Blue Devils in Etowah last Friday. But, tomorrow night, they play at home. Hopefully, Kin Logan Stadium will be full of the members of the community they represent.

Rachel Ann Davis just made the top five in Ms. Stars and Stripes. This is a nationwide competition held by Star Magazine. Among other perks, the winner receives a two page spread in the magazine and 25,000 dollars.

Miss Davis spent her youth in foster care until she was adopted. She plans to donate 5,000 to The Alabama Adoption Agency to help a family adopt a child. An issue she says is, “Near and dear,” to her.

It’s the home stretch. She needs all the support she can get. Facebook. Instagram. TikTok. Vote and share for Rachel and her goal to match a family longing for a child to a child who needs a home.

And put an another Alabama girl on the national map.
