Event Guest Speaker – Sherri Burgess

Burgess is a writer, speaker and Bible teacher. She is the author of “Bronner,” and the wife of Rick Burgess (of the Rick and Bubba Show).

Burgess’ story is one of hope and stands as an example of the joy in Christ we can experience even in the aftermath of the most tumultuous of storms. 

Her storm came on January 19, 2008, when she found her youngest son, Bronner, drowned in their family’s backyard swimming pool. She and her husband, Rick Burgess of the “Rick and Bubba Show” wanted to know why. After five years of grief, Bible study, prayer, and writing, 

Sherri is now ready to share what she learned in the storm with God. 

This life is to be lived for God, not self, and this world is soil for testing and fire for refinement readying the Christian for a forever with God.

Her book, Bronner: A Journey to Understand, was released on January 19, 2016.
