Northside Medical Home grand opening Nov. 14

Northside Medical Home, the newest expansion at Northside Medical Associates, will hold its ribbon cutting Tuesday at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend and tour the new facility.

The ribbon cutting had been scheduled for Oct. 24, but due to delays in construction and furnishings in a portion of the two-story, 50,000 square foot facility, it was delayed. Northside doctors, Dr. Rock Helms, Dr. Michael Dupre and Dr. Hunter Russell, as well as the Northside CARE Team, will remain in their existing offices in Phase II of Northside until Friday.

Northside Apothecary has already moved into the new building.

In addition to the main ribbon cutting, a series of ribbon cuttings for the specialty tenants also will be held following the official ceremony.

Specialties at Northside Medical Home are: Alacare Home Health and Hospice, VisionFirst Eye Center, Birmingham Heart Clinic, Alabama Oral & Facial Surgery, Southeast Gastro and Eastern Surgical Associates.

Each of the tenants will have open houses as well with door prizes, giveaways and educational information as it pertains to their specialty.

VisionFirst will have a Trunk Show with designer eyewear and a giveaway to include designer sunglasses. Birmingham Heart plans an Open House to demonstrate cardiac testing and procedure capability as well as giving away special door prizes.

Health and Wellness will be hosting a cooking mini-class with samples and will have guest speakers for education on specific chronic diseases.

Northside will host a reception in the Training Room for the public.
