This week is Halloween and there are a few things you need to know about.  

Remember, the Ragland Library will be open from 4 – 8 p.m. on Halloween to let the children treat or treat.  They will also have an Informational Kiosk Unveiling & Reception Thursday, Nov. 5, at 4:30 p.m.

Ragland School will have a Fall Festival on Oct. 30, at the Ragland Elementary. For pre-K – 2nd grade, the festivities will be from 8:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.  Then, from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., it will be 3rd – 6th grade.  There will be a costume contest, and students may wear a costume but will not be able to wear a mask or a scary costume.  Prizes will be awarded to the best costume.

Soft Innocence Photography will be available. The background is Halloween themed and there will also be a Chili Cook-Off for everyone.  The entries have to be there by Friday Oct. 30, 8:15 a.m., the prize is $50.
