Christmas Parades in St. Clair County
Jingle bells and Christmas lights can be seen in cities throughout St. Clair County celebrating the holiday season. Most cities also sponsor activities such as tree lighting ceremonies and Christmas parades, which become annual traditions.
Here is a list of the Christmas parades and events happening in your area:
Dec. 7: Odenville
The Odenville Candyland Christmas Parade has been rescheduled for December 7 at 7 p.m. Line up for the parade will be in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot at 5:30 p.m. This is a different route than previous years. For more information or to be a part of the parade call City Hall at 205-629-6366.
Dec. 8: Leeds
The Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to participate in the Annual Christmas Parade this Friday, December 8 at 7 p.m. in historic downtown Leeds. Miss Alabama Jessica Procter will be the Grand Marshall. Parade floats, cars and trucks are welcome. Dec. 9:
Argo
The Argo Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. Lineup begins at 8:30 a.m. at the drive-in/Hunters Three Commerce Park. Registration applications can be found at City Hall, and stores and businesses in town. There is no charge for participation, but donations for Argo Toys for Kids will be accepted. Participants may also come early and register at line-up. For more information, contact Corky Massey at 205-368-2493.
Moody
The City of Moody invites you to participate in their Annual Christmas Parade scheduled for 5:00 p.m. this Saturday, Dec. 9. The theme this year is “Let It Snow” and Pat Shipp will be the Grand Marshall. The parade is free to enter, but an application must be completed. Springville
Springville Christmas Parade will be Saturday, Dec. 9 beginning at 6 p.m. The theme for this year is “The Reason for the Season.” Applications are available at Springville City Hall.
Dec. 14: Pell City
Pell City Christmas Parade will make its way through downtown Pell City on Dec. 14 from 7-9pm. Floats, bands, convertibles, the antics of the Shriners and Jolly Old Saint Nick himself are part of the festivities as Pell City rings in the season in early December. This year’s theme is “A Magical Christmas”. For more information on participating in the parade please visit www.pellcitychamber.com.
Dec. 15 Talladega
Friday, Dec. 15, 6 – 9 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 16, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 17, 12 – 6 p.m.
Talladega will have their second annual Christmas on the Square. The event will begin on Friday, Dec. 15 with the Christmas parade at 6 p.m., the official tree lighting at 7 p.m., Meet & Greet with Santa from 6-8 p.m., Christmas Music DJ from 6-8:30 p.m. and Polar Express movie showing at 7:30 p.m. Events will continue all weekend.

There will be fun, family-friendly activities for all, including an ice-skating rink, jump inside a giant snowglobe, a special appearance by Santa, and a concert by Taylor Hicks in the Ritz Theatre.
