Springville Vista: Restoration plans are underway for old Rock School

The Springville Preservation Society is hosting a benefit yard sale for the restoration of the Old Springville Rock School, July 23 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Contact the Springville Preservation Society to donate sale items or to make a contribution at (205) 467-6766.

Springville Youth Sports Registration for Baseball, Softball and Soccer will be July 30 and August 13 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Springville Sports Complex behind Wal-Mart.

Congratulations to the Springville 7U All-Stars baseball team for being invited to the Dizzy Dean World Series in Southaven, Mississippi.

Due to the fire that destroyed the Flow Church in Ashville, the church will be temporarily meeting in Springville at Camp Utopia on Sundays at 11 a.m.

The High School Basketball program will host Tiger Basketball Camp July 25 – 28 from 9 a.m. – noon as a fundraiser. Cost is $50 per camper.

The Springville Splash Pad at Big Springs Park is a great place to have fun and stay cool. Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sundays 1 – 5 p.m. Admission for ages four & up is $1. For parties/groups or more information call (202) 467-2705.

The Springville Police Department is hosting a firearms safety class for the public. The cost of the class is $50. The fee includes firearms laws, weapon safety and weapon use.
