Oishi Asian Restaurant has grand opening

A new restaurant, Oishi Asian Restaurant, opened its doors in Pell City on Oct. 5. The Pell City Chamber of Commerce Director Courtney Castleberry and Chamber Board President Larry Daugherty were on hand to welcome manager Rita Shi with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The Oishi Asian Restaurant is located at 4852 Cogswell Ave. in Pell City and serves a variety of sushi, hibachi, and Asian cuisine.

“’Oishi’ means ‘tasty’ in Japanese and you know you’re in for an Asian experience when you observe all the beautiful Oriental artwork and are greeted by Rita Shi, the manager,” said Daugherty. “I had the spicy salmon sushi served with pickled ginger and wasabi, and it was sublime. Love it!”

The restaurant will be open seven days a week, Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m.- 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m.- 10 p.m.
