Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 1425 Mt. Moriah Rd., Pell City will have Vacation Bible School July 19-23, Sunday – Thursday, 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Boys and girls four years old through 12th grade are invited. Mrs. Redena King is the VBS Director and Rev. Mickey Jones is the church’ s pastor.

Happy birthday to my great-grandson, Cyrus “Cy” Welch-Scott, son of my grandson, Andrew Scott of Coal City and Lilly, (I don’t know her married name), of Louisville, KY, who will be 11 years old July 22, my great-great niece, Sophie Davison who will be seven years old July 25 and her litte brother, my great-great nephew, Dylan Davison who will be five years old July 28 and my young friend, Brooke Campbell who will celebrate July 31! Sophie and Dylan Davison are the children of my great-niece and great-nephew, Ashley and Derrick Davison of Pell City.
