Van stolen from Boys & Girls Club in Pell City

When Lacy Mills arrived at the Boys & Girls Club on 19th Street in Pell City this morning, she noticed that the 15-passenger van was missing that they use to transport kids.

“I thought someone maybe took it to get gas,” Mills said. “I’ve been working here since I was 13 years old and no one has ever bothered anything.”

The van is a 2014 Chevy 15-Passenger Van and was last seen in the parking lot of the Boys & Girls Club in Pell City around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29.

The van has specialty decals stating “Boys & Girls Club of Central Alabama” and the Boys & Girls logo on the sides. The license plate number is 1CD2703.

They were able to borrow a nearly identical van from another Boys & Girls Club location temporarily. The Boys & Girls Club board are offering a $2000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Pell City Police Department at 205-884-3334.
