 Our park is growing! TheBig Springs Park in Springville has new fitness equipment that is now available, for free, to the public. 

The Springville Preservation Society will host “A Living History Tour” Oct. 16 from 2 – 4 p.m. at The Springville City Cemetery complete with actors dressed in period costumes portraying real, past citizens. $5 donation per person. 

 Springville Youth Basketball signups are Oct. 1-23. In-person registration is Sunday, Oct. 23 from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Springville Middle School Gym. You can register online at quickscores.com/springvillebasketball 

Storytime at Springville Library are Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and include a story, craft and snacks.

Mathews Manor will host a grief recovery program Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. until Dec. 6 called “GriefShare” sponsored by Christ Community Church. Contact (205) 467-6686 or springville.info for more information.

Springville Presbyterian Church will host St Catherine of Siena “A Woman For Our Times” play as a fundraiser for the preservation of the historical church. Tickets are priced at $17-$37. The event will be held Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Springville Presbyterian Church. eventbrite.com 

“Turn Springville Pink” is Oct. 19. Wear pink to bring awareness to breast cancer. Beta Club Members will be selling charity T-Shirts. #BringThePink

 The Springville Police Department is hosting a firearms safety class for the public, Oct. 29. The cost of the class is $50, the fee includes firearms laws, weapon safety and weapon use. The Springville Cross Country Track Team is hosting The (costume) Tiger Pride 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Run, Saturday,  Oct. 29. 

St. Clair County Sav-A-Life will hold its annual fundraising dinner in Springville at Mathews Manor, Nov. 1 at 6:30 p.m., tickets are $25. Contact (205) 467-7322.

The Springville Civil Air Patrol meets every Tuesday from 6pm – 8:30pm at the National Guard Armory. The age requirement is 12-18 years of age and adults may also join as senior members. Cadets learn leadership skills, aerospace, character development, as well as team work. Cadets also learn piloting skills.
