Leeds/Moody News: High school diplomats tour water supply facility
Wow, it’s really hard to believe that it is already November. Now that Daylight Savings Time has ended, it’s going to take some getting used to for it to get dark so early in the afternoon. Where did this year go? It’s actually only seven weeks until Christmas!
Leeds Downtown Trick or Treat was a huge success again this year. Parents and children filled the streets down the Parkway from Sonic all through downtown Leeds. We truly appreciate each company and individual who participated to provide a safe and fun trick or treating experience for area children. We would also like to thank the parents for bringing their kids downtown to take advantage of this free event and hope you will be back next year.
If you have an opportunity, please let these businesses know that you appreciate them for caring about your children and remember to shop local. Photos taken during this event at on the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook Page – please LIKE and SHARE. Thanks!
Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce High School Diplomats toured Leeds Water Works last week and learned more about our water supply. It is very exciting to know that we basically have clean water to start with (that does not come from our sewer system…yeah). The Diplomats viewed a PowerPoint showing the inside of one of the wells and toured one of the water treatment facilities which hosts a couple of our wells. Thank you, Bill Morris and staff, for a great tour!
