Martin’s Family Clothing opens in Pell City

Martin’s Family Clothing opened their newest location in Pell City on Saturday, Nov. 11.  Local patrons were lined up at the door before the ribbon cutting held at 9 a.m. The first 100 customers received a $100 gift card.

“We’re very excited to be here in Pell City,” owner Bill “Martin” Wakefield said. “I really love this area.”

Wakefield owns and operates seven stores throughout Alabama, with Wakefield’s or Martin’s locations in Anniston, Oxford, Gadsden, Florence, and the new location in Pell City.

The grand opening celebration included a ribbon cutting with the Pell City Chamber of Commerce, and autograph signings by country music artist Riley Green and former Alabama quarterback Jay Barker.

Martin’s Family Clothing is located in the former K-Mart building at 813 Martin St. South in Pell City. The store will be open Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday 1-6 p.m.
