Law 101 Classes resume Monday, March 13 at 7 p.m. at the Woodall Building in Springville, 6415 Main Street. Cost is $10, 19 and under are free. Topics include 2nd Amendment, self defense and home protection.

Openings for Mother’s Day Out will be Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon. You may choose one day or all three days. The non-refundable registration fee is $50 One day per week is $40 per month, two days per week is $80 per month and all three days will be $120 per month.

K2 through K4 will be Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Non-Refundable deposit is $75 with tuition of $120 per month.

Storytime at the Springville Library is every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and includes a story, craft and snacks.

The Church at Bradford Road in Springville is hosting the ladies conference, “You Say,” Sunday, March 12 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are $12 and include dinner. The featured speakers are Daniella Wyatt, Nikkie Posey and Staci Wyatt.

A Firearms Safety Course is being offered April 15th at 8am at the Springville Police Department. Class is limited. Call Springville City Hall at (205) 467-6133 to register. Cost is $50.

The Senior Center in Springville will offer crochet and ceramic classes for the public of all ages for a $20 fee to benefit the Senior Center. Contact the Senior Center at (205) 467-6022 for more information.

The St Clair County Master Gardeners Association will host a “Lunch and Learn” session on Garden Herbs at the First United Methodist Church in Springville on March 25th at 12pm. Contact the St Clair County Extension Office to register at (20) 338-9416.

Camp Utopia in Springville will host the 5K Run, “Night Light 5K @ Utopia” on April 21st at 7pm benefitting missions for orphans in Columbia. Register at www.active.com.

From the St Clair County EMA: Road Closure at Muckleroy Creek Bridge. Alabama State Highway 11 from Whitney Junction/Alabama Highway 231 to State Route 23, Springville to close to thru traffic on Monday, Dec. 12 for bridge work. Alternate Route: I-59. Local traffic can utilize Huff Lane to Crawford Cove to State Road 23 and also Pinedale Road to 23. Timeline: More than one year. This notice is provided from the Alabama Department of Transportation.

The Springville Civil Air Patrol meets every Tuesday from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the National Guard Armory. The age requirement is 12-18 years of age and adults may also join as senior members. Cadets learn leadership skills, aerospace, character development, as well as team work. Cadets also learn piloting skills.
