Leeds Middle School sends love to Florida

When Marjory Stoneman-Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida reopens, their art teacher wants to have artwork from students all over the country displayed on the school’s walls with messages of love and support.

Students at Leeds Middle School came together to create art that has been shipped to Marjory Stoneman-Douglas High School, where 17 students were killed during a shooting on Feb. 14. Christopher McClendon, LMS art teacher, knew about the art project and wanted his students to be involved.

“LMS students have created some beautiful images to help this school and its students during this difficult time as they begin to heal from the tragedy of February 14th,” Leeds Middle School representatives posted on their Facebook page.
