Pell City
Santa Arrives on the Cog – Dec. 5
Head to downtown Pell City on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. for a photo with Santa. The event will be held at 1915A Cogswell Avenue. Photography services will be provided by Bombard Studios. One 4×6 photo will be $5 or you have to option to take it yourself. This event is presented by The Heart of Pell City Downtown Revitalization Committee.
Santa will be at the Pell City Walmart on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Photos and Christmas wishes are free of charge and donations are welcome. Donations taken at this event will go to Cops for Tots, a campaign the Pell City Police Department is running.
All donations taken up through this cause are used to help families in need and senior citizens in nursing homes this holiday season.
This event is presented by the Pell City Police Foundation. All donation are tax-deductible.
Christmas in Bethlehem – Dec. 5-6 and 12-13
Travel back in time to Bethlehem this Christmas season with a live nativity, presented by Cropwell Baptist Church.
This event takes guests around a recreation of ancient Bethlehem the night of Jesus’ birth, as told in the Bible. It is designed to depict a historically accurate street, with all the sights and sounds of that time in history, to help bring the story to life. Street merchants will have booths set up, selling historically appropriate merchandise. Soldiers, innkeepers, shepherds and live animals will be at the live nativity
This event will take place over the span of two weekends, Dec. 5-6 and Dec. 12-13. Tours begin at 6 p.m. Groups of 20 or more people are requested to call the church ahead of time to place a reservation.

Pell City Christmas Parade – Dec. 10
The Pell City Chamber Christmas Parade will be held Dec. 10. This annual event routes through downtown Pell City, and promises a fun-filled evening for the whole family.
Participants in the parade, who wish to give out candy, will have designed candy-givers flanking the float. These people will walk outside the float, on the edge of the road tossing candy. This is to ensure the safety of all attendees.
Santa will be making an appearance at the parade, along with horse and many more exciting parade participants.

Moody
Toys for Kids Annual Luncheon – Dec. 4
On Friday, Dec. 4, the city of Moody will host its annual luncheon, a fundraiser for Toys for Kids and Angel Tree. These campaigns work to provide children in the area with a Christmas celebration that would not be possible without members of the community taking part in these events.
The luncheon will have key members of the community, including Mayor Joe Lee, serving as waiters and staff for the event. Tips and donations from the luncheon go directly to the aforementioned campaigns. Door prizes and auction items will also be a part of the event. Crossroads Christian School Holly Days will be held this Saturday, Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. This event is open to the community, with a day of Christmas shopping, fellowship and fun. There will be arts, crafts, gifts and a bake sale.
Kids Shop Zone will be available for children to purchase and wrap presents for their parents. This event will be located in the back building across from Community Presbyterian Church in Moody. For vendor information, please contact jennlavender@me.co.
Moody Christmas parade – Dec. 12
The City of Moody will host its annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 5 p.m. The parade theme for this year is, A Candyland Christmas. The city of Moody is honored to have Joe Kelly act as the Grand Marshal of the event. Entrance to the parade is free, but those wanting to participate in it must register. Ashville
Christmas in the Square – Dec. 4-5
Celebrate A Hollywood Christmas in historic downtown Ashville. This event will span two days, with a parade on Friday night, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. The parade will feature local businesses and more, so come out and see all the vendors this event has to offer.
A holiday celebration will be held at the square on Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. This event will be held regardless of weather.

Odenville
Christmas on the Hill – Dec. 6
Calvary Baptist Church is hosting Christmas on the Hill. This event is a celebration of the season of Christmas. It will be Sunday, Dec. 6 from 5-7 p.m. and is open to the public.

Odenville Christmas Parade – Dec. 8
The city of Odenville will host its annual Christmas parade on Tuesday, Dec. 8. The parade will begin at 7 p.m. The theme for this year’s parade is Christmas in Dixie. There will be local businesses and organizations participating, and the top three floats will be awarded with trophies.
The route will remain the same as it has been in previous years, however no vehicles or parking will be permitted in the float line-up area. Designated parking will be provided to those in attendance. Following the parade, refreshments will be served at City Hall, where Santa will be making a visit.

Leeds
Miss Merry Christmas Pageant – Dec. 5
The Miss Merry Christmas Pageant is scheduled for this Saturday, Dec. 5, for babies through 12th grade hosted by the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce. For pageant information, rules and application, please visit the Chamber website at LeedsAreaChamber.com or call Sandra McGuire at (205) 699-5001.
The Leeds Arts Council presents A Christmas Carol, the play adapted and directed by Cliff Keen, Jr. The performance will be held at the Leeds Theatre and Arts Center, located at 8140 Parkway Drive in historic downtown Leeds. There will be six performances:
Friday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 6, at 4 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11, at 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m.
All tickets are $10 and reservations are recommended, but not required. The Leeds Theatre and Arts Center is handicapped-accessible venue, with free parking on the street.

Leeds Christmas Parade – Dec. 11
The Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce will host the city’s annual Christmas Parade in Historic Downtown Leeds, Alabama. This exciting Parade is held on the second Friday of December each year. There is no cost to participate in the annual Christmas Parade, but an application is required to organize the lineup. Commercial floats are available for purchase through the Chamber office. Springville
Springville Christmas Parade – Dec. 12
The city of Springville will be hosting its annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 12. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. and the route will head north on highway 11. The theme of this year’s parade is Snowballs and Sports balls. The parade will be filled with local businesses and organizations, featuring floats of all kinds.
