Three men arrested for drug related crimes

The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Narcotic division initiated a traffic stop on Jan. 27, which led to the apprehension of Jeffery Charles Daniels, Charles David Manley, and David E. Cochran, Jr. on drug charges.

Daniels, 32, of Ashville, is being charged with five counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, one count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of brass knuckles. Daniels is being held in the St. Clair County Jail in Ashville on $303,500.00 bond.

Charles Manley, 44, of Pinson, is being charged with one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, one count of unlawful possession of marijuana and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Manley is being held in the St. Clair County Jail in Ashville on $11,500 bond.

David Cochran, 45, of Odenville, is being charged with criminal conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime and is being held on $15,000 bond.

All three men were apprehended by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Narcotic division after a traffic stop in Steele, according to an official release.
