Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director recipient of award
The Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama (CCAA) recognized Leeds Area Chamber Executive Director, Sandra McGuire. McGuire received the Distinguished Service Award for completing 10 years of service in the profession of chamber management.
The Distinguished Service Award was established by CCAA to recognize long-term leadership and professional competence of chamber of commerce executives in the State of Alabama. This award is based on a minimum of 10 years of service in the field of chamber management.
The announcement was made at the CCAA Professional Development Conference in Prattville last week.
Sandra was one of five Alabama chamber professionals to receive the Distinguished Service Award this year which also included Linda Lewis, Chamber of Commerce of Walker County (20); Leslie Stephens, The Chamber – Gadsden/Etowah County (20); Linda Hearn, Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce (25); John Seymour, Decatur/Morgan County Chamber of Commerce (35).
“All of the individuals receiving recognition for distinguished service are to be commended for receiving this prestigious distinction,” said Morri Yancy, President, Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce and CCAA 2016 Chairwoman of the Board of Directors. “They most certainly represent the highest standards in our profession and are committed to its continued success.”
