New businesses open in Leeds/Moody

The Leeds/Moody area continues to grow. The City of Leeds and the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce conducted a Ribbon Cutting last Thursday for Faith Cutz, a new barber shop on the corner of Parkway Drive and Green Wave Way in Leeds. Another ribbon cutting was held for Papa Murphy’s Pizza last Friday, which is located in the shopping center adjacent to Wal-Mart. We welcome both of these new businesses to our area.

We are very proud of our new and existing companies in the Leeds and Moody area. The Moody Area Chamber of Commerce High School Ambassadors visited The Bag Supply Company last week. They toured the facility and were able to learn more about this particular industry.

Today, Sept. 17, is Citizenship Day, a day set aside to celebrate being a citizen of the United States of America, the greatest country the world has ever seen. It’s a day to be proud to be an American!

Today is also Constitution Day, which celebrates the day that the Constitutional Congress of the United States of America held its final meeting to sign the Constitution of the United States of America, a document for which they so painstakingly labored over to create and perfect. There are many people today who want to change our Constitution, but our forefathers thought through so many details and have reasons for each word in this document, which works for the common good of all. Let’s celebrate our Constitution!

If you are a dog lover who happens to be in the market for a new puppy, I know of two black seven week old dachshund puppies that are free to good homes. Please contact me if you know anyone interested in adopting these loveable puppies.
