Leeds/Moody News: Oktoberfest was raving success
Moody Oktoberfest 2016 was a huge success. The weather was absolutely beautiful and it set up to be a perfect festival day. Moody City Park was full of vendors, activities, food, antique cars, people, children, babies and dogs all day long. It was tons of fun and the entertainment was great. A special thank you to each person and sponsor that made this festival awesome and for all those who came out and enjoyed the day. C & C Motor Co. and Carpenetti’s Pizza Car Show and their sponsors raised over $16k for Moody Miracle League and Shepherd Supply. This year’s Oktoberfest event and festivities will definitely go down in history as one of the best festivals yet, so save the date for next year so you don’t miss it!
We took lots of photos of this year’s Oktoberfest, which are now available on the Moody Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. Please feel free to like and share.

Each year part of Moody’s fire prevention program chooses a king and queen from the senior class. Students who want to participate write an essay on different aspects of fire prevention. The essays are submitted anonymously and personnel from each shift read and choose which one they like best. The essay with the most votes is chosen from the boys and girls. Congratulations to this year’s Moody Fire Department Fire Prevention King and Queen, William Vance and Madison Snyder, who were recognized at Moody’s homecoming.
