What’s Up in Odenville

Last week I wrote about my new “do” and how traumatized I am because it is so short. This week after many compliments, I’m feeling a little better and slightly more confident about it. Well, except for when my friends aggravate me and tell me I have “memaw hair” or I look like I got into a fight with a weed eater and lost. I must say it has cut the time it takes me to get ready in the mornings by more than half. I have taken this new look seriously and I have watched tutorials on how to style it (what there is of it), how to apply my make up to enhance features (and downplay the ones I no longer have hair to cover them with.) The good news is I can already tell its growing back. One week down and 51 more to go!

Wrestling season is officially in the books. SCCHS competed in the State Wrestling Tournament in Hunstville this past weekend. Skylar Mizzel placed 3rd in his weight class and Zhenya Collett and Blake Wiggins came away with top 10 performances.

These young men, the entire team and coaches have done an amazing job representing their school and the Odenville community. Angel Mizzell, Skylar’s mom said, “While this season hasn’t been what we wanted, we are young. Most have already started trying to prepare themselves for next season. I’m grateful that our Ragsdale tournament was a huge success and we are thankful for what we did accomplish.” Great job boys!!
