St. Clair’s Josh Hardrick takes gold in long jump
St. Clair County High School Boys Track and Field Team finsihed fourth at the AHSAA State Indoor Chapionship Class 1-4A at the Birmingham CrossPlex held last weekend.
The team was only two points out of second place as the second, third and fourth place teams were separated by a single point per position.
The Saints had an individual state champion in Josh Hardrick who won gold in the long jump. Also winning medals was Kartez Carr with a third place finish in the long jump as well as a third in the 60m hurdles.
Points were also scored by Levi Dorsett with fifth place finishes in both the 400m dash and the 800m run and Danny Watson in the pole vault. Other team members competing were Stephen Richards, Chase Robertson, Brandon Wiggins, Jonah Lee, Bailey Lee and Ben Lee.
