Saints to Step Up Against Hokes Bluff

The St. Clair Saints will take on Hokes Bluff tomorrow in another important regional game.

Coach Charlie Boren knows that after the 42-14 loss to Alexandria, the Saints will have to step up their game to keep fighting for a playoff position.

“Hokes Bluff has a traditionally good team,” Boren said. “They were state champs in 2001 and they don’t pull any punches. We’re in a situation where our backs are against the wall from last week. So, this is a must win situation for us and them as well.”

He noted the critical need for a win Friday. “As I’ve stated over the last few weeks, we’ve got five really good teams in this region and unfortunately one of them is going to be left out when it comes to the playoffs. So we’ve got to pull it together and get back in it.”
