Lady Tigers Hosting Area Tourney

Last week the 5A Springville Lady Tigers, who will be making their post-season debut at home tonight at 7:30, were defeated by 6A Hewitt-Trussville 62-55. “We did not play good in the first half,” coach Warren House said. “We also did not execute our offense in the first half.”

In that game, St. Clair County Tournament MVP Reshika Newsome racked up 23 points and grabbed 11 off the glass. Kayla Tremble had 10 points and one rebound that night.

Springville 45, Tarrant 26

The Lady Tigers dominated on senior night and were up 23-14 at the half before tacking on 22 more points in the second half.

Jordyne Buckner had 14 points and two boards that game while Newsome sank 12 points and had five boards.

Seniors from the squad that were honored after the game for their contributions to the Lady Tigers were Rebecca Pearce, Kayla Tremble, Jordyne Buckner and Reshika Newsome.
