Purple Devils down Ashville Bulldogs, ready for area games

The Purple Devils made easy work of Ashville Monday defeating the Bulldogs 11-0 in five innings, courtesy of a no-hitter thrown by two Ragland pitchers. Kurt Lipscomb pitched four innings, striking out eight and walking three. Jacob Hollingsworth pitched one inning, striking out the side and walking one batter. Offensively, the Purple Devils were just as good with their 11 runs coming off six hits. Talor Petitt went two-for-two with three RBI’s. Scotty Smith and Cameron Hazelwood had two RBI’s apiece. “It was a great all around game for us,” Ragland head coach Rodney Lipscomb said. “Now it’s time to get ready for our area games.”
