Funeral services for Alan Van Higginbotham, age 52, of Ragland, AL will be held today, December 8, 2011, at 6 PM at Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City with Rev. Allen Bain officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5-6 PM prior to the service.

Mr. Higginbotham passed away on Monday, December 5, 2011, in Birmingham, AL.

Surviving him is his daughter, Ashley (Derrick) Davison of Pell City; mother, Ginny Black of Pell City; sister, Ginger Knight of Ocala, FL; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Mr. Higginbotham was a member of Broken Arrow Baptist Church.  He was a 1978 graduate of Pell City High School and a US Air Force veteran with 11 years of service.
