Smith Brothers Host Relay for Life

The Cropwell Baptist Church exercise class and local volunteers recently held a benefit motorcycle ride for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life at Smith Brothers, located on Highway 231 South in Pell City. Wayne Smith, owner of Smith Brothers, sponsored the entire event and provided items from his store as door prizes. Those attending the cookout enjoyed hotdogs and hamburgers beside the lake. There were 62 participating bikers and over 100 at the cookout. The exercise class has almost reached their $3000 goal and remains $35 short. This is the fourth year they have participated in Relay for Life. The class plans to sell cookbooks next year to raise money.
