Church paints for Love Pantry to help others
St. Simon Peter in Pell City invited the budding Picassos of the area and sponsored a fundraiser for the Christian Love Pantry . The group raised $540 to donate to the outreach.
The money raised will make 27 holiday meal baskets. The evening of fellowship those attending the event participated in was the icing on the cake.
“I know there were probably some people waking up this morning wondering how the green blob got on their elbow,” said Deb Cearley. “And I truly beleive that when they saw this picture in their home this morning they can’t beleive how really talented they are.”
Cearley said “The thank you’s for this event are so numerous, I want to thank everyone who participated; [both] those that painted and those that donated without painting. And Nettie Bean for the donation of the easels, brushes, paint and aprons. Karla Conway for serving as our leader and Jan Canoles for getting all those bows just right. And everyone who asked, ‘When do we do the next one?’”
