Argo Mayor Jennings Hoping for Bingo Vote

Argo Mayor Paul Jennings is hoping to get an ordinance passed on Monday to allow electronic bingo to be played in the town, which is struggling with a staggering debt incurred by the previous administration.

The first reading of the ordinance is expected to take place on Monday at the council’s regular meeting and a second reading will take place at a public hearing on Tuesday.

Both meeting will take place at the town hall.

Tonight there will be a special public meeting held in tonight where the town’s attorney will read a lawsuit brought by Community Bank of Louisiana dealing with a lawsuit brought against the Town of Argo due to non-payment of invoice dated 10/08.
