Leeds teams undefeated in area
The Leeds Green Wave got a strangle hold on the area with two huge wins last week.
Both teams are 4 – 0 in area play with two area games remaining. This week is rivalry week with both teams battling with arch rivals in Tuesday and Friday nights.
THE GAMES
Last week, the Green Wave girls and boys did battle with Indian Springs in the first of two area games. The girls had no problems at all. They led 33-15 at half time, holding Indian Springs to just 11 total points in the second half to win 60-26.

Last season, the Green Wave boys lost a heartbreaking one-point game to the Tigers at home for the regular season area title. They went on and defeated B.B. Comer at their place for the area tournament title and the right to host a first round playoff game.
Leeds made sure there would be no one-point loss this time. Leeds never trailed in the game, holding the Tigers to just 11 total points in the second and third quarters. The Tigers made a big run in the fourth quarter to pull within two points, but Leeds hit the free throws down the stretch to get the win 49 – 44.
