Springville

Springville’s Lady Tigers are 2-3 in area standings this week, following games against Locust Fork and Douglas.

The Lady Tigers defeated Locust Fork, 55-30, aided by 14 points from Ashley Shaw and 13 points each from Molly Lindsey and Dixie Rhodes.  Hannah Long scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the team’s 46-44 loss to Douglas.

“(Against Locust Fork) we played our most complete game of the year,” said coach Warren House.  “The girls played well on both sides of the both for three quarters. We just need to do a little better job defensively in the fourth quarter. This was a big game for the team.”

Kreshala Mickens scored 23 points for St. Clair, followed by Daimiona Jones with 10 and Diamond Buckhanon with four.
