Jacks provided faculty at Springville Elementary with breakfast as the teachers prepared for the new school year on Thursday, Aug. 1.

Jamel Williams was recognized by the Springville Fire Department for his graduation from the Firefighter I/II Bridge Program at the Anniston Regional Training Center on Friday, Aug. 2.

Faith Community Church cleaned up and made improvements for the campus at Springville Middle School on Saturday, Aug. 3, in preparation for the new school year as a service project called ‘GO Day.”

Springville High School teachers and staff held meetings on Thursday, Aug. 1, to prepare for students starting school for the 2024-2025 school year.

The Baby Steps Memorial Run 5K and Fun Run will take place Sept. 14, at Homestead Hollow with all proceeds benefiting The Amelia Center at Children’s of Alabama. Register by Aug. 15 to include a memorial name on the shirts/signs. Register at https://runsignup.com/Race/AL/Springville/babystepsal.

The Springville PD will be conducting a civilian firearms training class Saturday, Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. Cost is $50 a person. To sign up, contact the Police Department at 205-467-2701 and ask for Gina Burns.
